Medicare and Medigap help in Orlando, Florida
Central Florida has a large Puerto Rican community, and people who move from Puerto Rico often need to sign up for Part B themselves, because Part B enrollment is not automatic there. Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties can also have different plan options. We help Orlando-area residents in Spanish or English by phone or video.
Moving from Puerto Rico
People living in Puerto Rico are not automatically enrolled in Part B. If you moved to Florida without Part B, ask how to enroll and whether a penalty or Special Enrollment Period applies.
Orange, Osceola and Seminole
Kissimmee and Sanford sit in different counties from Orlando. Your county determines plan availability, so confirm it before comparing.
Medicare Supplement (Medigap) in Orlando
In Florida, your six-month Medigap Open Enrollment Period starts when you are 65 and enrolled in Part B. Medigap works nationwide with Original Medicare, which matters for seasonal residents.
Medicare Advantage and Part D in Orange County
Medicare Advantage and Part D plans are offered by county service area, so options in Orlando can differ from neighboring counties. The 2027 Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 through December 7, 2026; your Initial Enrollment Period around age 65 is separate.
Help with costs
If your income and resources are limited, Florida Medicaid, Medicare Savings Programs or Extra Help with Part D may apply. Eligibility is decided by the state or Social Security, not by an agent.
